A Fascinating Fortune

What's this? Two posts on the same day? Unheard of! I just thought this was worth sharing.
I went to lunch at a Chinese place today. As always, at the end of the meal, a fortune cookie came with the check. Now, I am not generally a superstitious person, so I seldom take much stock in what the fortune in my fortune cookie says, but this one was different. It read,

God will help you overcome any hardship.

What an incredibly powerful statement! It's simple, but it really made an impact on me. I doubt that the apostle Paul ever wrote any fortunes for cookies, but he did write something very similar to this. Check it out:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose --Romans 8:28

I can't tell you how many times I've found myself lost, thinking that I'll never get out from under the problems that I've gotten myself in. I believe that this verse (and the fortune cookie!) are just a couple of simple reminders that we have a God who's always there, and there is NO problem that's too big for him, as long as we devote ourselves to him. He will never stop loving us. NEVER! Don't ever forget that!

May God bless you today!
